1 Pennant Matches
All Pennant matches shall be under the control of the Association. No Club may compete in the Pennant competition unless it conforms to the Laws of the Sport of Bowls Crystal Mark 4th Edition, April 2023 and conducted in accordance with the rules and by-laws of Bowls SA.
Mobile Phones are not permitted to be used on the green.

1.1 Eligibility.
A registered member of a Member Club shall be permitted to play for only one Member Club in any one season, except where a clearance from one Club to another has been approved by Bowls SA. In Pennants, where a combined side is entered by two or more clubs, registered members of those clubs may play for the combined side as original members. The title of such side shall be determined by the Clubs concerned but shall NOT be the name of only one of those Clubs.

1.2 Programme


The Pennant programmes for the ensuing year shall be determined by the Pennant Programme Coordinators who must then present it tothe Executive Committee of the Association. It shall be drawn up in accordance with the LMBA Rules and Regulations.

All Pennant competitions shall be programmed as home and away matches. The first mentioned Club in the programme shall be the home Club on the first date and the away Club on the second date with the exception of when the whole of a Division is scheduled to play at the same venue on the same day.

No Club should have consecutive byes in Saturday Pennant Divisions 1, 2 or 3.

All Saturday Pennant Division 2 and 3 games shall be played in the same time frame as Division 1.

The Pennant Programme Committee shall schedule dates for a four week (3 Saturdays) Xmas break.
Saturday Pennants shall be played over 18 rounds.

All finals for Saturday Pennant shall be played over 3 weekends – Semi Finals Saturday week 1, Preliminary Finals Saturday week 2 and Grand Finals on Saturday of week 3.

The Executive Committee shall put forward the draw from the Pennant Programme Committee for the upcoming season to all Clubs for review. The Executive Committee in conjunction with Pennant Programme Coordinators are then responsible for addressing concerns raised by Clubs before a final draw is issued.

1.3 Programme Booklets
Pennant and Tournament Programme including the LMBA Conditions of Pennant and Tournament Play, the LMBA By-Laws and the Rules and Regulations of the LMBA will be available on the LMBA Website.

1.4 Number of Pennant Competitions
Separate Pennant competitions shall be programmed for Saturdays (hereunder referred to as Saturday Pennant), Wednesdays (hereinafter referred to as Wednesday Pennant) and Thursdays (hereunder referred to as Thursday Pennant).
